At our Infirmary Outpatient Infusion Center, we have two treatment areas with a total of 25 chairs located in our main hospital on the first and third floors. We specialize in intravenous (IV) treatments, offering a comfortable and convenient alternative to inpatient or emergency infusion services. Our compassionate nursing staff is highly skilled in delivering chemotherapy, cardiac drips and other types of IV infusions and injections.

PLEASE NOTE: This center provides chemotherapy and other therapies to potentially immunosuppressive patients, therefore it does NOT administer monoclonal antibody treatments for COVID-19 infections or exposures.

Services and Treatments

Transferring donated blood, blood products, or other fluid into the circulatory system
Treatment that adds, blocks, or removes hormones.
The observation of your heart by a heart monitor to help discover cardiac arrhythmias and other heart conditions that may be present and to help determine heart health.
Furosemide, dopamine, dobutamine, mirinone, and nitroglycerine.
  • Phlebotomy

    The surgical opening or puncture of a vein in order to withdraw blood or introduce a fluid, or (historically) as part of the procedure of letting blood.

  • Therapeutic Phlebotomy
    A controlled removal of a large volume (usually a pint or more) of blood. It is used mainly to reduce blood volume, red cell mass and iron stores.
  • Intramuscular Injections

    An intramuscular injection is a technique used to deliver a medication deep into the muscles. This allows the medication to be absorbed into the bloodstream quickly.

  • Subcutaneous Injections
    Subcutaneous is where the injection is given in the fatty tissue, just under the skin.

  • IV Antibiotic Therapy

    Antibiotics that are administered directly into a vein so that they can enter the bloodstream immediately

  • IV Immune Globulin
    Intravenous immune globulin ("IVIG") is a product made up of antibodies that can be given intravenously (through a vein).
  • Iron Infusions
    A procedure where iron is delivered to your body intravenously, meaning into a vein through a needle. 
  • Monoclonal Antibodies
    An antibody produced by a single clone of cells or cell line and consisting of identical antibody molecules.
Chemotherapy is a drug treatment that uses powerful chemicals to kill fast-growing cells in your body. Chemotherapy is most often used to treat cancer, since cancer cells grow and multiply much more quickly than most cells in the body. Many different chemotherapy drugs are available.
A central venous catheter, also known as a central line, is a tube that doctors place in a large vein in the neck, chest, groin, or arm to give fluids, blood, or medications or to do medical tests quickly. Your nurse will instruct you on how to care for the catheter.
Biotherapy is a treatment that uses substances made from living organisms to treat disease. These substances may occur naturally in the body or may be made in the laboratory.
