Welcome to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs Medical Education program! Our purpose is to extend the mission of CHI St. Vincent by training medical students and residents to be compassionate, skillful, and outstanding physicians so that they may enjoy long, fruitful and healthy lives in a career that improves the lives of their patients and their local and global communities.

David Slay, MD (Internal Medicine Residency Program Director) is an Internal Medicine and Pediatric physician with CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs. After medical school at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, he completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2000. He joined CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs in 2005. Dr. Slay sees patients in his clinic every morning where he also teaches medical students doing both internal medicine and pediatric rotations. He lectures to medical students and residents during their noon conferences every week and supervises the residents in the Continuity Clinic in the afternoons.
